Welch Poppies, “Meconopsis cambrica”, are very happy in my shady garden. It is a perennial, and it seeds around happily! I have bright yellow flowers, but I’ve seen orange flowers.

But, even though they aren’t native, I always include some poppies (by seed) in my garden and the smallest of bees flock to them.

I want to grow some this year. I have a open space just calling for them.
