Our county (Washtenaw County, Michigan) has native plant sales twice per year. They make it easy with a good list of plants that can be ordered online, then on pickup day they host numerous local native plant growers where you can also shop for a much wider range of native plants, shrubs, and trees. It’s been a great way to add to my native plant collection every year,

I’ve been to LIPNI’s plant sales and bought milkweed ‘plugs’ from Long Island Native Plant nursery. One of our neighbors in on the monarch route your guest referenced, so now we are competing to get there too!
