Pacific Northwest.
Sparrowhawk Nursery offers incredible selection of native plants.
Potted goldenrod is blooming early.
Latest purchase is a native artemisia.

We live on only 15 acres near the Smoky Mountains National Park, and I’m forever fighting Mimosa trees, Chinese privet, honeysuckle, Paulownia tomentosa, and other non-natives. I’m not from East Tennessee; we moved here to be closer to my husband’s family upon his retirement. I’m learning about the native plants and the invasive unwelcomed guests. We’ve worked with a nearby nursery sourcing native plants to create a large installation to shield our view from our one neighbor. I thoroughly enjoy helping the natives regain their footholds. Thank you for your podcast! I enjoy learning from it.
