Question for listeners—I’ve always planted up a pot or two of bulbs outside in frost resistant pots, including using the lasagna method. I keep them under the eaves and water about once a month. When they emerge, I set them in an open air space for light and rain. As they grow, they don’t all grow to the same height, and a few don’t come up at all, so the pots look very uneven. Any advice?

I used to ‘season’ my bare bulbs in the spare refrigerator at 40°F, it seemed to work fine, especially if you start early right after buying them so they can be ready to pot and bring into the warmer house earlier than in nature. It would take care of your garage being too warm as well.
