Careful pruning on mature plants reveals the central structure& makes this all-around stunning plant. im not crazy about the ‘mopheads’ -they’re overplanted in our yard (not by me)-too big, too garish :)

I would like to offer to your crowd ,the pruning of tubular canes to the ground is preventing native bees from hibernation. Leave at least 15-18 inches of stem. Especially Annabelle. Of course, Echinacea, Hibiscus and others too.
