I always though it would be interesting to collect cuttings from road side apple trees. Plant them and see what happens. My thought is that if a tree can live and produce apples on the side of the road they must be pretty hardy. However, I don’t have the land to start a project likes. Are you open to visitors? I was going see if I can find you. I don’t have much experience with apples, but I did manage a successful vineyard in NH.
