Female flowers are abundant, so are males, but even when I hand-pollinate, female baby-cucumbers do not grow, dry up and fall off. Never happened to me before. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Linda — funny that I had it right in the second reference and flubbed it in the first! Thank goodness for you.

monoecious-having unisexual flowers of both sexes borne on the same individual.

I believe that your statement that cucumbers are dioecious is incorrect. Other than that, I always enjoy your posts. Thanks for all the effort and time that you spend on your site.
