I assume after the cucumbers, dill, garlic, and pickling spice? I just ladled the cooled brine in on top until the cucumbers were completely covered. Is that right?

I was a kid who grew up in a Polish family and our fridge always had 2 gallon crocks of brine pickles in it. It was a Blessing on a hot summer day after yard chores. Thanks for the pickle memories. Al D.
