Mom’s favorite way to use them up was to make green tomatoes mince meat that when then used for cakes and bars. She preserved anything she could get her hands on or made it into a jam or jelly, including quince. I just made my first batch of pumpkin butter and used the crock pot. I’m definitely going to purchase Kevin’s book.

Too much applesauce from last season still crowding the frig, so I am using your crockpot method to reduce it. Should give me extra room in the freezer, plus something I could add to yogurt too. I wonder if you could use it to make a glaze for an apple or spice cake?

Great to swirl through cheesecake before cooking or on crackers with cream cheese. Or on grilled meats.
