Great interview today and I’m going to go checkout R. M. N. McGee’s shop now!

My favorite herbs to grow and use: basil (esp Thai) and parsley.

I grow it in pots, and find that if I cover it in cold weather with a layer of pine needles it can take a lot of cold (I’m in 7a). And I cut off sprigs and dry them hanging in the kitchen, then keep them in a ziplock bag. Dried this way they seem to keep a lot of their aroma and flavor. I also use a lot of sage, rosemary, and oregano.
