I had to get rid of my compost pile because of those jumping worms. Our local town had distributed plastic tumbling composers so am using that. Since it needs “cooking” time, will probably get a second one. The other thing is we collect leaves in plastic bags, punch holes in the to let rain in and let them sit up on old picnic table to make leaf mold. Been trying to use lawn clippings as mulch (combined with old potting soil). However, mulching does make me nervous that I am making conditions good for the worms to move in.
