I potted them up and kept them in an unheated cold frame. Every little plant made it over the winter and they are ready to transplant now.

Owner/grower Melanie Ruckle is always on the lookout for something different, which she first trials in her gardens, and if worthy, will grow it to perfection for sale. She primarily was selling at weekend plant sales and events, but due to covid started opening the nursery for inperson sales, and limited mailorder. The nursery is well worth a visit, plus Ladew Topiary Garden is just a few miles away.
thanks for giving this small awesome nursery a shot out!

(yampah) for my California native garden and would love to fit in some cow parsnip, but it’s too large-scale for my small area. Interestingly, most of our native California Apiaceae are perennial.
