I figure, how can old soil be worse than trashed plastic? So I am the test case and will report back!

I’ve always swapped out the old for fresh each year, and of course, the manurfacturer recommends that. I’m thinking of trying 50/50 this year. It’s listing at almost $50 a bail due to supply chain problems, I’m told. I’m inclined to leave the old stuff on the bottom of the container and layer in the new, rather than mix it as most annuals don’t have huge roots. Any thoughts?

As I mentioned in the podcast, that is what I hear over and again — one person likes Brand X and another hates it. It will take lots of individual experimentation for sure.
