We have been using the diatomatious earth & mustard water. We have not won the battle as of yet but are capturing those that haven’t disintegrated from the diatomaceous earth. I hate to hand pick them as they are so gross but I am persevering. We will continue. This has been a rough year & I want them gone so I can enjoy cultivating & planting again. We think ours came about when we had a fence put in. There were many holes dug for the posts & all around the fence from about 2 ft from it are where they seem to congregate.

60-90 days is the accepted time frame for juveniles to mature to reproductive age. The coccoons emerge when the soil reaches app. 50F. Flushing once the juveniles are out and removing them when they surface (possibly every worm as they can be difficult to distinguish), increases the opportunity to remove the jw before they begin to reproduce.
