What is happening????

I spotted a pair of blue birds in my side yard this week and as Saturday morning rolled around I got on the web to buy a nesting box. Now I see that I don’t have the proper conditions for boxes and will plant vegetation for blue birds but will be content to be amazed when I happen to see them. They just make my heart swell!

As I think you are suspecting, it seems like it would not be an ideal pairing — fire/smoke and trying to encourage birds to nest and raise young.
