I have four large baking potatoes that have beautiful eyes..mostly green,, wink wink~ I cannot find anyone that would like to plant them. I am 78 and do not have a garden. I remember clear back before dirt my parents wrapped each sort of dry potato piece with wet newspaper. I asked why (didn’t get a good reason why) Dad said so the eyes will have something to read. I sure miss having a garden. I am going to plant me some spuds with eyes in my huge patio planter.. heck who needs poisies when you can have new potatoes?? Thank you

This are excellent reminders, and some great new information. I had never heard of mowing the vines.
